The City has received a funding letter from Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT)
allowing for additional funding to be added to the State Highway 14 and Lemay Avenue
Intersection project. The bridge will be constructed over the Poudre River on the south side ofthe
Mulberry Street (SH14) vehicular bridge and the sidewalk will be extended from Lemay to
Riverside.
Design work has been completed and these funds would be added to the construction budget for
this project. In addition to the bridge, the City is also constructing sidewalk along the south side
of Mulberry Street in order to provide a safe and direct bicycle/pedestrian connection from
Riverside Avenue to Lemay Avenue. Ordinance No.140, 2001, which was unanimously adopted
on First Reading on September 18, 2001, appropriates unanticipated revenue and prior year
reserve funds to complete the project.
