HomeMy WebLinkAboutLARIMER COUNTY COURTHOUSE - SITE PLAN ADVISORY REVIEW - 37-98A - CORRESPONDENCE - CORRESPONDENCE-NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGNo Text Comm. _ Ay Planning and Environmenta► _ ervices Current Planning City of Fort Collins Dear Resident: June 15, 1998 On Monday, June 29, 1998, from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m., in the Council Information Chambers, City Hall West, 300 LaPorte Avenue, the City of Fort Collins Planning Department will hold a neighborhood information meeting to discuss two significant projects for the downtown area. These projects are: 1. Larimer County Justice Center 2. New Downtown Parking Garage. The new Larimer County Justice center is planned for the northern portion of Block 31 at the southwest comer of LaPorte Avenue and Mason Street. (Please see map on reverse.) The new Downtown Parking Garage is located on Block 21 on the southeast comer of LaPorte Avenue and Mason Street. (Please see map on reverse.) The Justice Center is planned to be a five -story building above -grade (one parking level below grade) with a total of about 150,000 square feet. The Justice Center would house the new courtrooms and administrative offices as well as surface parking and a small exterior courtyard The new Downtown Parking Garage would contain about 900 parking spaces and 15,000 square feet of retail on the first floor along Mason Street. The structure would be four stories high with parking on the roof. Total square footage would be about 304,000 square feet. Representatives from the City of Fort Collins, Larimer County, and members of the design team will be on hand to hear comments and answer questions regarding these two projects. The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
