RE: Mall Apts
Hi Ted,
Just spoke with the TB group on this.
There were 282 mitigations trees assigned to the Foothills Mall PA3 that now apply to the current proposal. The number
of mitigation trees assigned to PA3, as well as the other phases of the mall, are recorded on sheet LA128 Foothills
Redevelopment.
The 282 mitigation trees can be reduced by the mitigation number for the trees now saved that were shown to be
removed on the approved plan. Those mitigation numbers are listed in the tree inventory recorded sheets LA 136 and LA
137.
It appears from my discussion that they will be able to provide for the mitigation trees on site.
Let me know if you have any question.
Thanks
Tim

Jim, our phones are down — can you believe it?
First, we need a rendered Landscape Plan.
Second, we need a schematic or detail that shows the cross -sections along Stanford that illustrates how the horizontal
components (sidewalk, existing trees, proposed trees, and building setbacks) relate to the vertical slope. The key is if
there are instances where stairs need to be provided to gain entry to the buildings.
Third, we need the info on how the existing Alberta Tree Mitigation Plan is now revised by the saving of the existing
trees. Tim Buchanan mentioned that Lots 3 — 6 need to accommodate something on the order of 290 trees. By saving
existing trees, this number is reduced to x? And, if x number of trees are not provided within the boundary of the Major
Amendment, then McWhinney needs to pay Forestry cash in lieu.
Thanks, Ted
