Box 271065 • Fort Collins, CO 80527 Cam McNair City Engineer Engineering Dept. 281 N College Ave PO Box 580 Ft Collins CO 80522-0580 To: Cam McNair We have reviewed the comments and sketches prepared by your staff for the "Access Plan to Dellenbach and Adjacent Properties", dated May 17, 1999 and signed by Steve Olt. After considerable discussion and thought about the implications for the community and for our business, we feel that it is best for us to no longer pursue the closure of the frontage road. We came to this conclusion based on the following; 1. The plan's impact of a "public street easement" running through our Chevrolet display area is too disruptive for us to manage now and into the future. We seem at odds with the City's objective of encouraging through traffic through our lot. 2. The total costs associated with all the requested improvements concerns us when compared against our effected properties. 3. Time is money to us and consequently we need to proceed with the Subaru site, as soon as possible. We are concerned that we cannot move the decision -making process along in a timely fashion with so many complex issues.
