Dear Resident:
September 3, 1998
The Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, on Thursday, September 17,
1998*, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers**, City Hall West, 300 LaPorte Avenue, will hold a
public hearing on a proposed project in your neighborhood. The proposed project is commonly
known as Arapahoe Bend 1st Annexation and Zoning, #44-98.
This is a request for the voluntary annexation of a City owned natural area consisting of
approximately 41 acres. The property is located north of East Harmony Road, south of East
Horsetooth Road, west of County Road 7 and east of County Road 9. The site is currently zoned
Larimer County FA1- Farming, and the proposed zone district is POL- Public Open Lands.
Both the Planning and Zoning Board and the City Planning Staff consider your interest and input in
this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an extremely important part of the City's review of this
proposal. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, written comments are welcome.
The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official records of the
Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between occupancy and record keeping, or
because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel
free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to
attend.
Please Note: Due to the number of projects being reviewed by the Board, there is no guarantee this
item will be heard on the date advertised. For the benefit of those attending the meeting, the Board
typically sets their schedule at the beginning of the meeting.
Sincerely,
Leanne Harter, AICP
City Planner
*Please note that if the Thursday, September 17th meeting runs past 11:00 p.m., the
remaining items may be continued to Thursday, October 1, 1998 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council
Chambers, City Hall West.
