d. The utility plans still refer to the project as "Campus West Theater" and not
"Brazil 99." Please label them `Brazil 99."
e. The west wall needs a rendering that shows what the wall will look like with the
vines, and egress doors.
f. The sidewalk along the west wall should be 5' wide wherever possible. In
specific areas where vines will be planted, try to keep the break in the sidewalk as
small as possible. Show a simple diagram of the planters along the west wall.
You now have them specified at 16" wide. Allow enough width to your planters
to enable the vines to grow, but 16" may be a bit excessive. If the plants need that
much width to survive, call me and we'll discuss the issue, but if you don't need
the whole 16", we would rather see a wider sidewalk.

STAFF REVIEW COMMENTS
March 15, 1999
Staff reviewed the Brazil 99 Renovation, and would like to offer the following
comments:
COMMENTS:
1. Water and Sewer Utility Department:
a. See the attached Water Utilities comment sheet and redlined plans.
2. Stormwater Utility Department:
a. See the attached Stormwater comment sheet and redlined plans.
3. Traffic Operations:
a. See the attached Traffic Operations comment sheet.
4. Engineering Department:
a. See the attached Engineering comment sheet and redlined plans.
S. Current,
a. Section 3.5.3(I))(2#) in the Land Use Code requires that all facades of all
commercial buildings must have a base and a top treatment. This code
requirement is intended to make buildings have a certain minimum visual variety.
The architecture you propose seems to be offering plenty of visual variety the way
it is proposed. You must however respond to the issue by either including tops
and bases to all facades, or add it as another modification request. I realize this
comes rather late in the process, but most likely it can be satisfied with a
modification.
b. On the October 14`h comment letter zoning asked you to notify St. Elizabeth
Seton Church of the proposed redevelopment of the Campus West Theater.
Please provide a memo to me stating that this has been accomplished.
c. Label the east entry as an addition on the landscape plan.
