On Monday, July 8, 2013, from 6:30 p.m. — 8:30 p.m. at the Council Tree Public
Library, 2733 Council Tree Avenue, the City of Fort Collins Current Planning staff will
facilitate a neighborhood meeting to discuss a housing proposal in your neighborhood.
The proposed project is located 5046 Fossil Boulevard in South Fort Collins. A location
map of the project site is shown on the back of this letter.
The project is referred to as Redtail Ponds Permanent Supportive Housing and is
proposed by The Fort Collins Housing Authority (FCHA) as independent living
apartments and onsite supportive services designed to meet the special housing needs
of homeless individuals with disabilities, homeless veterans, and other low-income
individuals. The site is zoned C-G, General Commercial District, and a multi -family
apartment use is an allowable use subject to review by the Planning and Zoning Board
when the project moves forward through the City review process.
Your input is an important part of the development review process. At the neighborhood
meeting, the FCHA will present sketch plans of the project and there will be an
opportunity to ask questions and provide comments on the project as proposed. If the
project continues to move forward, you will have another opportunity to provide input at
a Planning and Zoning Board public hearing and you will receive a similar notification
via mail regarding the date, time and place of the hearing.
Information on the City's development review process can be found online at:
http://www.fcgov.com/developmentreview/citizen review.php. The notification letter for
this neighborhood meeting can be found at:
http://www.fcqov.com/developmentreview/agendas.php
The list of affected property owners for this neighborhood meeting is derived from
official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home
occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property
owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbors of this and
future meetings so that all may have an opportunity to attend. Thank you for your time
and participation in the City's planning process.
Sincerely,
J4
