Subject: Storybrook Project (corner of Mountain Vista Drive and County Road 11)
Dear Mr. Olt:
I had the opportunity on 2 November to look through the file on the Storybrook
proposal. There was an issue that I did not see addressed by either the developer or by
any of the comments from City Staff. That issue is, if County Road 11 is to be extended
south from Mountain Vista Drive to Vine as shown on the City's Master Street Plan, it
makes sense to move the centerline of the extension of the road about 30 feet to the east
to avoid taking part of Adriel Hills. A logical way to do this is to start "bending° the street
to the east on the hill north of Mountain Vista Drive. This would obviously effect the
Storybrook project. It seems like the appropriate time to plan for an extension of County
Road 11 to the south is now. If the City waits, it will have negative impacts on even more
developed land.
I strongly feel now is the appropriate time to plan for the extension of County Road
11 from Mountain Vista Drive to Vine Drive while most of the land involved is using for
farming and not housing.
