Bob, Jim Sell visited me today. We had a short discussion with Tom Shoe.
Jim and his client are rightly concerned that the NRAB made a recommendation on the Structure
Plan and rezoning without benefit of a presentation from the appropriate staff members, without
the applicant being present to provide information, and without the issue being on the agenda.
Jim faxed the attached diagram showing the proposed zoning districts and comparison of
development characteristics. This was not available to the NRAB.
Jim had asked for me or Tom to be there tonight, and we both have conflicts (Affordable Housing
and County Open Lands). Therefore, we will have to rely on you convey the continuing staff
support for the changes in light of the NRAB discussions.
Also, I hope that the P&Z does not choose to delay action on their agenda in order to refer things
to other boards and commissions. Rather, I hope they will conduct their business and make their
recommendations to Council.
Thanks for carrying the load.
