Comments on Rigden Farms Plan #56-98B
Troy:
As a resident of an area affected by the proposed Rigden Farms development proposal, I appreciate your
recent letter and opportunity to comment on this proposal. I have attended one nieghborhood meeting on
this proposal, but will not be able to attend the 4/15 P & Z Board hearing. Consequently, I'm sending you
my comments for your consideration.
-Despite what I heard in the neighborhood meeting, I continue to be concerned about the increased traffic
that will be generated on
both E. Drake and Timberline. Traffic is often backed up at peak periods on these roads now, and it will
worsen with this new development.
-1 am disappointed and concerned to see how far east on this property that high density development is
planned. I would like to see more open space buffering this development from the Environmental
Learning Center and the nearby Poudre River corridor. To me, allowing the development to occur as far
east as planned is incompatible with these existing uses and compromises the natural resources in this
area.
As a side point, why would anyone want to build too close to the City treatment plan that is located just to
the northeast of the subject property?
Thanks,
Doug Finnman
