The only real concern here is that these Charter Schools always pick lousy places to locate and cause a
mess for about 1 hour out of each week day - 1/2 hour in the morning and 1/2 hour in the afternoon. This
is not a LOS issue more than it is a circulation issue. I think they have done a better job than the other
schools that have come before them, but it still stinks.
I would suggest we ask them on how they are going to solve the stacking and circulation problems on the
public street and see where it goes from there.

Responded to my own message here. Cameron just dropped of the same report, so I was able to read
the details. It seems to me that Steve Steinbicker should be responding to City staff on Matt Delich's
concerns and verify that there are no other redesign alternatives of the parking lot to achieve greater
stacking and also we should get some written commitments from the school with regards to how they plan
on handling pick-up and drop-off which will be part of the record when the item goes to P&Z.
Am I off base here or are there other items the applicant should look at as a result of the TIS?
Thanks,
Marc
Thanks for the info Eric. I guess it's worth asking how significant the issues might be, in that is this
something you wish to note as a concern as part of the staff report to P&Z, and/or are the concerns such
that the City should perhaps re-evaluate whether the project should be taken to the next P&Z? Are there
any on -site design changes they could make that would make you more comfortable? I'm just wondering
what any next steps might be. Cameron is covering in Troy's absence, who is on vacation.
Thanks,
Marc

I just received the TIS Memorandum from Matt Delich for the Pioneer Charter School.
the analyses indicate that there will be problems with the pick up and drop offs. The impacts can be
mitigated by staggering the start and end times for the different grades.
I'm not sure what the answer is and I doubt if it even really matters since it is PSD, but there will be issues.
