RE: Grease Monkey and Carwash, , Lot 5, Rigden Farm, r Filing Response Letter
To Whom It May Concern:
Insite Engineering has made its best attempt to address staff comments for their review dated January 3e, 2006.
Please find responses to specific comments below that may require clarification:
Comments regarding existing and proposed contours on the plans.
The survey was performed during construction of The Shops at Rigden Farms and our lot was not in a
final condition at that time. At the time of the survey this site was being used for the construction trailer
offices. We have coordinated our plans and grading with the master plan from Kimley Horn and also the
gas station located East of us. Checking against elevations shown on the two existing plan sets and our
proposed grades we feel our site will tie seamlessly with what is existing now. Conversations and voice
mails have been exchanged with Sheri Wamhoff of Engineering. Based upon direction from Miss
Wamhoff we have added note 8 to Sheet 3, Grading & Drainage. In addition, notes 5, 6, 7 on this sheet
serve as notice to the contractor that care should be taken during layout and construction of the site due
to the basis of design.
• Comments requiring Drainage and Erosion Control Report.
Direction was given by Basil Hamdan in a meeting on May, 18°t 2005 that only a general letter of
compliance would be required due to the size of our site and its incorporation into the existing master
drainage report for the Shops at Rigden Farms. Erosion Control information is provided on Sheet 5,
Erosion Control, on the proposed plans. A letter of compliance has been submitted several times on
approximately 6/28/05, 1/4/06, and additional comments have been addressed and are being submitted
on 2/09/06.
• Comments regarding spill containment measures.
The proposed Grease Monkey and Carwash are self contained businesses with material handling taking
place internally. The risk of spills that may contaminate the stormwater system is extremely minimal. A
Kristar Inlet Fitter has been proposed on the inlet that will receive flows from the majority of the site that
may be felt to be at risk This fitter is noted for installation on Sheet 4, Utility, and a detail is provided for
review on Sheet 7, Details 2.

Kurt Kowar, P.E.
