November 5, 1998
The Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, on Thursday,
November 19, 1998*, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers**, City Hall West, 300 LaPorte
Avenue, will hold a public hearing on a proposed project in your neighborhood. The
proposed project is commonly known as Salvation Army Church, Type 1, Project
Development Plan, #59-98.
This is a request for the expansion and change of use of an existing 7,166 square foot retail
building. The applicant requests 340 square foot entry addition to the southeast corner of
the building (a new total of 7,506 s.f.) and to chage the land use from retail to a place of
worship for the Salvation Army. The subject property is approximately 1.191 acres in size
and is located at 3901 S. Mason Street. The property is zoned C- Commercial.
Both the Planning and Zoning Board and the City Planning Staff consider your interest and
input in this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an extremely important part of the City's
review of this proposal. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, written comments are
welcome.
The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official records
of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between occupancy and record
keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been
missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors
may have the opportunity to attend.
Please Note: Due to the number of projects being reviewed by the Board, there is no
guarantee this item will be heard on the date advertised. For the benefit of those attending
the meeting, the Board typically sets their schedule at the beginning of the meeting.
