Meeting Minutes
A meeting was held at 6:00 P.M. on November 30, 1998 with the Prospect Springs
Homeowners Association. The meeting was held at the American Family Insurance office
located at an address of approximately 941 L. Prospect Road.
The meeting was called to order by Board president faith Atwood
• There were approximately 12 people in attendance from the Neighborhood Association (a
few people came in a little late, a few people left a little early).
Issues that were discussed were as follows:
1. We discussed the possibly of sharing the curb -cut which serves as primary access for
Prospect Springs and having this be the primary curb -cut for the Ritc Aid Store as
well. In that design, we would connect our driveway with their driveway
approximately 75 feet south of the curb cut at Prospect Road. After quite some
discussion, the neighbors decided they did not want to share the entrance point. They
preferred a separation of retail traffic from their own neighborhood traffic.
2. I presented the site plan as it is today. In general, the neighbors were very supportive
of Rite Aid as the retailer going in this location. 'they also liked the site plan.
3. Some concerns were raised about making slue that parkins lot lighting was properly
shielded to prevent it from shining into the adjacent homes. Othcr people mentioned
they lilted the added lighting because it improved their security,
4. Sonic discussion of landscaping took place as well. I mentioned that it is preliminary
at this point since the landscaping plan had not been prepared. However, I did
indicate that it was likely that there would be some buffering along the west -end of
the Rite Aid property.
5. Very little time was spent ou architectural issues as I mentioned that we have not
made much progress in that area yet.
In general, the neighbors were very supportive of our development plans. They were sorry to
sec the gas station leave, as they are very friendly udth the owners, but they thought Rite Aid
would be a great addition to their neighborhood.
• The Prospect Springs group did not feel that there is a aced for any additional. meetings.
They asked me to keep them informed of our progress and I agreed that I would.
