Bruce and Russ,
For your information, I just spoke with Monica and Ron Mills ( City's right-of-way agent) regarding the
difficulties in constructing the new aligned Redwood Street to it's ultimate design with the Old Town
Project. As you may not know, the property that the City is purchasing from the State can not official
change hands until the State is ready to move into their new facility. The exact timing of which is unknown
at this time. Because of this unknown, I told Monica that the City would allow a temporary gravel road to
be built in the existing right-of-way. This gravel road would become the developments second point of
access and in my opinion should only service emergency vehicles. However, this can be discussed
further at a later date. Of course there are other options for second points of access but these may not be
available.
