The fewer crossings there are it reduces the potential for plugging of the channel or breakouts and thereby reduces flooding potential. Therefore Stormwater will support fewer crossings of Dry Creek than the 660 foot requirement. Glen Schlueter Stormwater Development Review Manager >>> Troy Jones 12/18 1:57 PM >>> Glen and Kim, As part of the Old Town North application, they are requesting alternative compliance to the requirement that they provide future street stubs to the south at 660 foot intervals and also to the north to connect to the future Vine at 660 foot intervals. I know there have been other projects where an alternative compliance for crossings of waterways was supported by staff because Stormwater and Natural Resources specifically needed the number of crossings minimized (ie Harvest Park). Is this the case with either of these proposed alternative compliance requests here (crossing the Lake Canal two more times between the two proposed crossings, and crossing the proposed new Dry Creek in one more spot)? Please let me know if your department cares one way or another about putting the required crossings at these locations. If your department has the position that the crossings would greatly impact the waterways or wildlife area enough that the crossing should not be made specifically because of that impact, please send me an e-mail stating that. Thanks. Troy
