REZONE - 21-99 - CORRESPONDENCE - REZONING RELATED DOCUMENTCommi :y Planning and Environmental rvices Current Planning City of Fort Collins Tim Hasler PO Box 2267 Fort Collins, CO 80522 Dear Mr. Hasler: This is to verify our discussion earlier today regarding the rezoning of certain properties near the intersection of Cherry Street and North College Avenue. As I noted, these properties were rezoned POL — Public Open Lands in error in 1997. This rezoning occurred at the time the City was rezoned in conformance with the adopted CityPlan. Because this was a City error, we will process the rezoning with a recommendation to place these properties into the CCR — Community Commercial — Poudre River District. The normal rezone process will be followed which includes a public hearing before the Planning and Zoning as well as two hearings by the City Council. The new zoning will become effective 10 days after second reading. Please understand that staff and the Planning and Zoning Board only makes a recommendation regarding the appropriate zoning district. City Council will make the final decision. Time lines for the rezone process will be determined in the next few weeks. Troy Jones will be the project planner on this project.
