Possible MSP Amendments as part of the 1-25 Corridor Regional & Subarea
Plans
Staff will bring forward later this summer (August/Sept.) a series of
recommended Master Street Plan amendments as part of the 1-25 Corridor
projects. Two of these amendments directly affect this area. First, Timberline
is recommended to be upgraded from a Minor Arterial to a 4L Arterial between
Trilby Road and Carpenter/CR 32. Second a new piece of 4L Arterial
connecting from Timberline & CR-32 southeast -ward along the railroad tracks
to CR 9 south of CR 30 will be recommended as well. This roadway is
designed to meet up with future roadway segments proposed in the Loveland
MSP and the Crossroads Subarea Transportation Plan.
There are issues surrounding increasing the intensity of roadways in this area
as there are numerous environmentally sensitive areas nearby. I have met with
Natural Resources Staff and Management to discuss these issues and
concerns. They feel that the roadways can be accommodated if proper
mitigation efforts take place. There is also concern regarding the new diagonal
arterial amongst some of the residents who live near the Timberline corridor.
We will be doing a final round of public outreach this summer and I will keep
you informed as to the status of these proposed MSP amendments.

The Fort Collins - Loveland Water District and the South Fort Collins Sanitation
District will require easements along adjacent and parallel to the property lines
for future water and sanitary sewer lines.
