The proposed slope on the south wall of cross section F-F is 3:1. Please request a variance for all slopes greater than 4:1. RESPONSE`. 3. The easements for both water quality ponds were not included with this submittal. Please include easement dedications and the associated plat exhibit with the next submittal. Also, as discussed at our meeting (1/12/00), please dedicate an easement for the entire overflow area ( both sides of the building) of the 100-yr flow from Riverside Ave. RESPONSE: 4. The spillway provided appears to pass emergency overflow from pond A only. Overflow from pond B would flow over the retaining wall before reaching the designated spillway. Please provide a spillway for pond B and include calculations with cross sections for both spillways. Include riprap at the base of the wall aligned with the spillways to prevent erosion. RESPONSE: 5. Please show that the swale and concrete channel to the north of the building have the required 1 ft. of freeboard or have capacity for 1.33*Q of the design flow. RESPONSE: 6. On the section detailing the overflow from Riverside to the east, please specifically show the areas used in the capacity calculations (possibly use shading or cross- hatching, etc). According to your calculations, the F —F cross section of the existing channel northwest of the site will have a capacity of 830 cfs. This capacity is achieved by re- grading the swale at that cross section. Will the entire length of the channel before cross section D—D be re -graded to handle the same capacity as F-F? Cross section C—C currently shows only 394 cfs capacity. The entire length of this channel adjacent to the site must have capacity for 543 cfs plus freeboard (the lesser of 1 foot or the depth of 1.33*Qloo)• Please show the new proposed grading for the channel on the grading plan and include at least two cross sections of the channel (at the critical points) along the northwest boundary of the site.
