Collins, CO 80522-0580 Dear Troy: SUBJECT: VOICESTREAM WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATON FACILITY — SCOTCH PINES PRPA VoiceStream received Staffs comments dated 5/31/00 regarding our proposal at the Scotch Pines Property. We have enclosed the following documents for your review: Copy of zoning drawings with staff comments (full size set) Letter from VoiceStream RF Engineer regarding height ■ Copy of revised zoning drawings (reduced set) Section 3.8.13(B) of the Ft. Collins Land Use code states that no wireless telecommunication facility act to exclude any other provider. In this situation, no one is acting to exclude the other from the cupola or the PRPA pole. We have not tried to achieve co -location with USWW as the height they are locating at is insufficient for VoiceStream's technical design. Each company designs their system differently, USWW may only need to cover a small area, hence the lower elevation, where in this application VoiceStream is needing height to cover a much larger footprint. If we were to reduce the height, we would have to place additional sites in the area to compensate for the footprint loss (see attached RF letter).
