Dear Resident:
The Planning and Zoning Board of the City of Fort Collins, Colorado, on Thursday,
February 3, 1999, at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers**, City Hall West, 300 LaPorte
Avenue, will hold a public hearing on a proposed project in your neighborhood. The
proposed project is commonly known as the Larimer County Detention Complex,
Sheriff Administration Building, Special Site Plan Review, #37-99.
This is a request for a location, character and extent review for an administration
building for the Larimer County Sheriff's Department. The facility consists of one
34,500 square foot two-story structure. The site is 3.68 acres in size located at 2401
Midpoint Drive and is located south of the existing jail and west of Midpoint Drive, east
of Timberline Road and south of Prospect Road. The property is zoned I — Industrial
District.
Both the Planning and Zoning Board and the City Planning Staff consider your interest
and input in this matter, as well as your neighbor's input, an extremely important part of
the City's review of this proposal. If you are unable to attend the public hearing, but
would like to provide input, written comments are welcome.
The list of affected property owners for this public meeting is derived from official
records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between occupancy
and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners
may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending
meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend.
Please Note: Due to the number of projects being reviewed by the Board, there is no
guarantee this item will be heard on the date advertised. For the benefit of those
attending the meeting, the Board typically sets their schedule at the beginning of the
meeting.
Sincerely,
Ronald G. Fuchs
City Planner
