Impala Drive", the City of Fort Collins Current Planning Department will conduct a neighborhood information meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. The applicant is proposing to construct a 20-unit, affordable housing project on 1.738 acres on the westside of S. Taft Hill Road, approximately midway between LaPorte Avenue and Mulberry Street. What can you expect from attending the neighborhood meeting? The purpose the meeting is to open a line of communication between the developer and the neighbors. This is the forum through which the neighbors can express their concerns, city staff can explain the development review process, and the developer can explain to the neighbors what he/she is intending to do with the project and answer questions. Meeting minutes are taken by city staff, and become part of the project file. Neighborhood meetings are typically scheduled early in the project, before any design decisions have been finalized so the flexibility still exists for the input of neighbors to perhaps be integrated into the project. The list of affected property owners for this neighborhood information meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so that everyone has the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome and can be submitted to the Current Planning Department at the address listed above. If you have any questions, please feel free to give me a call at 221-6750. Sincerely, Cameron Gloss Current Planning Director The City of Fort Collins will make reasonable accommodations for access to City services, programs, and activities and will make special communication arrangements for persons with disabilities.
