PROJECT DEVELOPMENT PLAN SUBMITTAL JULY 319 2000 HAZARDOUS MATERIALS IMPACT ANALYSIS: GeneralCare Health Services, Inc. is a proposed 8,600 square foot urgent care and primary care medical services clinic which is to be located on a 1.5 acre site east of Lemay Avenue, south of Poudre River Drive, west of Hoffman Mill Road, and north of the railroad tracks. The existing GeneralCare clinic is currently in operation at 1025 Pennock Place. All medical waste products (infectious and biological waste materials) will be stored within the building structure in approved waste containers and will be removed by an authorized and licensed private carrier. As a small medical clinic, there will be no bulk storage of flammable or corrosive liquids over one gallon in size. The facility will utilize only injection based local anesthesia for minor surgical procedures. No general anesthesia will be performed. As such, there is no bulk storage or piping system for medical gases within this facility. A small oxygen bottle, kept on a portable code cart, will occasionally be used to stabilize a patient until transfer by an ambulance can be arranged.
