RE: Nextel Communications Project: T.1. Maxx, Fort Collins, Colorado
Dear Mr. Hoopes:
I am the Secretary/Treasurer for The Larimer County Canal No. 2 Irrigating Company,
whose ditch would be impacted by the proposed landscaping plans for the communications pole
behind T.1. Maxx along Pavilion Lane in Fort Collins, Colorado. It is our understanding that some
extra landscaping, including conifers and ornamentals like aspens, may be required by The City
of Fort Collins.
The Larimer County Canal No. 2 Irrigating Company has the right and obligation to maintain
and clean its ditch. The Company vigorously opposes the planting of any conifers and ornamentals
in the Company's right-of-way. The Ditch Superintendent will remove, without notice to any party,
any and all bushes or trees that interfere with his ability to maintain and clean the ditch.
