Traffic Engineer Date: July 5, 2000 RE: King Soopers/Elizabeth Driveway At a recent neighborhood meeting regarding the Rams Park Village Apartments, I agreed to perform the capacity analysis at the intersection of W. Elizabeth and the King Soopers driveway. The table below displays the results of the analysis for the critical movements. Ding Soopers Driveway and W. Elizabeth Street Movement AM BM LOS Delay Gec/vehD LOS Delay (sec/veh) E+ B left A 7.5 A 8.3 WB left A 8.4 A 8.8 NB left B 15.0 F 86.3 NB fhru/righ£ B 11.1 B 14.1 SB left NA* F 64.5 SB left NA* F 64.5 SB £hru/right NA* C 15.9 There are two points of clarification in the above table. The first is that there were no vehicles counted for the southbound movements during the morning peak hour and therefore no capacity could be calculated. The second point is the LOS F for the afternoon northbound and southbound left turns. This is typical urban condition at stop sign controlled intersections with arterial roadways. The Rams Park Village project has very little impact on exasperating this condition.
