To the planning and zoning board: The purposed modifications presented in your letter
of April 6,2000 has caused reason for concern to us. The original plan was seemingly acceptable
in concept and promised supervision of the group setting. It now appears that new additions and
concepts are being introduced. These additional limits indicate a pattern of stretching beyond
what our neighborhood is, that of being a family setting. When the original explanation of the
purposed group home was stated, we were told it was found by the applicant that numbers over
8-10 were not good workable numbers and that the goal was short term for these children to
remain in the setting. This, too, seems to be reaching higher limits. Concern for envimonmental
pressure for the children being close to two fraternities is not wise for them, given their reason
for being removed from their own homes initially. The zoning board approval for change of
zoning at 1516 Remington St. was granted and now it appears we as a neighborhood are being
pressured and manipulated into accepting what we do not want for our residentual area. What
assurances given can be trusted by us that this organization will respect and maintain the
boundries if granted and not push the limits in a deceptive manner? Homeowner at
