Knowing that folks will access the park from that side and park in the residential streets. I really had hoped to get 10 or so stalls. And maybe those will fill up first and reduce some impact on the neighborhood. Bottom line is folks will go to the north street system and park their if it is closer to a soccer game. Human nature. Craig >>> Ted Shepard 09/25 8:10 AM >>> Craig, we had a neighborhood meeting last night regarding Peak View Estates on W. Elizabeth. A newcomer has moved into the neighborhood and she was not at the last meeting. Her name is Roxane Hayes. She is a Senior Civil Engineer with Larimer County and she lives in Sienna. She is concerned about the parallel parking that we are allowing on Pleasant Valley Road. I told her that we eliminated the off-street parking lot and will allow parallel parking just as we would along any other public street next to a park and that it would be unusual not to have parking. She thinks there should be no parking primarily because it means there will be more traffic, particularly on Saturday mornings. Could you call or e-mail her and explain that we are not treating her neighborhood any differently than other neighborhoods? She did not appreciate my perspective since I am not a traffic engineer or a park planner. Her number at work is 498-5724. Her e-mail is havesrm@co.larimer.co.us Thanks, Ted.
