The hearing on 351 Linden Street came after the owner of the lumber building, Bill Sears, had requested a re-evaluation of the building's eligibility for designation. In a 1995 survey, the building was found to have historical significance sufficient to qualify it for inclusion in a potential district as a contributing property. City staff had recommended to the LPC that the building be determined to not be eligible for designation, as a change of use of the building, combined with a lack of architectural and geographical significance, would have a negative impact on any historical significance the property may have, to the extent that the building would no longer be eligible for its historical significance as a contributing building to either a National Register or Fort Collins Landmark district. 281 North College Avenue • P.O.
