COMMEN' SHEET Project: 71-93C Fort Collins Club Wireless Date: February 20, 2001 Planner: Brian Grubb No. Comments Sections Reviewer 1 You've provide 4 site plans — one showing Jenny pertinent info would be sufficient 2 Provide a landscape plan showing 3.8.13(C)(4) Jenny proposed landscaping around the fenced area — emphasis on coniferous plants 3 Would like to see this on no more than 2 Jenny sheets 5. The antennae support is a lighter color than the building. Using darker, shades of the some hue will make the tower visually recede into the background. The lighter color tends to stick out. 6. The antennae support structure does not fit in with the proportions of the building. The building is more horizontal than it is vertical. The support structure is more vertical than it is horizontal. 7. The antennae support does not fit in with the architectural style of the building. The building is square or rectangular in plan. Because the support structure is triangular in plan, it does not fit with the architectural theme of the building. 8. The screening of the ground equipment is not consistent with the design, color and materials of the building. Recommend using the same masonry materials for the screening as are used for the base of the building. 9. The ground equipment may be screened partially or wholly with evergreens. Please provide a landscaping plan. 10. Are the bulbs in the service lighting high-pressure sodium or other? 11. Please indicate the overall height of the service lighting. 12. Please see the redlined plans from the Current Planning Department. The following review agencies have commented on your proposal and their comments are attached: Light and Power, Zoning; and, Building Inspection. The following agencies have reviewed your request and offer no comments: Engineering; Advance Planning, Transportation Planning; and, Natural Resources. Please provide a written response to each of the above comments with the submittal of plan revisions. Please return all drawings and reports redlined by City staff with submission of your revisions that are clearly dated and labeled as revised plans. CO 80138 Subject: Staff Review Comments Fort Collins Club Wireless Telephone Facility File #11-01 Dear Mr. Klocke: Thank you for your application submitted on behalf of the Fort Collins Club and Sprint PCS. Staff has reviewed your submittal and we offer the following comments: Section 2.2.11 of the Land Use Code requires that an applicant submit revisions based on this letter within 90 days or the project application becomes null and void. Your response to the City's concerns is due by June 5, 2001. A 30-day extension to this deadline is available. All requests for an extension should be directed to the Current Planning Director. If remaining issues are those that do not require plan revisions, a status report verifying continuing efforts toward resolving the issues is required within the same timeline. 2. Please provide a written explanation as to why co -location is not an option in this instance per Section 3.8.13 (B) of the Land Use Code (LUC). Where are the nearest existing facilities. What is the significance of this site to your coverage area etc.... 3. Please provide a written explanation as to how this facility provides for, or anticipates future expansion/co-location per Section 3.8.13 (B) LUC. The Land Use Code prohibits one provider from excluding other providers from co -location. 4. Please provide a written explanation as to why these antennae cannot be located on the wall of the building below the top of the parapet.
