5. The antennae support is a lighter color than the building. Using darker,
shades of the some hue will make the tower visually recede into the
background. The lighter color tends to stick out.
6. The antennae support structure does not fit in with the proportions of the
building. The building is more horizontal than it is vertical. The support
structure is more vertical than it is horizontal.
7. The antennae support does not fit in with the architectural style of the
building. The building is square or rectangular in plan. Because the support
structure is triangular in plan, it does not fit with the architectural theme
of the building.
8. The screening of the ground equipment is not consistent with the design,
color and materials of the building. Recommend using the same masonry
materials for the screening as are used for the base of the building.
9. The ground equipment may be screened partially or wholly with evergreens.
Please provide a landscaping plan.
10. Are the bulbs in the service lighting high-pressure sodium or other?
11. Please indicate the overall height of the service lighting.
12. Please see the redlined plans from the Current Planning Department.

Fort Collins Club Wireless Telephone Facility
File #11-01
Dear Mr. Klocke:
Thank you for your application submitted on behalf of the Fort Collins Club and
Sprint PCS. Staff has reviewed your submittal and we offer the following
comments:
Section 2.2.11 of the Land Use Code requires that an applicant submit
revisions based on this letter within 90 days or the project application
becomes null and void. Your response to the City's concerns is due by June
5, 2001. A 30-day extension to this deadline is available. All requests for
an extension should be directed to the Current Planning Director. If
remaining issues are those that do not require plan revisions, a status report
verifying continuing efforts toward resolving the issues is required within
the same timeline.
2. Please provide a written explanation as to why co -location is not an option in
this instance per Section 3.8.13 (B) of the Land Use Code (LUC). Where are
the nearest existing facilities. What is the significance of this site to your
coverage area etc....
3. Please provide a written explanation as to how this facility provides for, or
anticipates future expansion/co-location per Section 3.8.13 (B) LUC. The
Land Use Code prohibits one provider from excluding other providers from
co -location.
4. Please provide a written explanation as to why these antennae cannot be
located on the wall of the building below the top of the parapet. Wall
mounted antennae are preferred.
