City Park Ballfield Wireless Equipment
File #12-01
Dear Ms. Brennan:
Thank you for your application submitted on behalf of the City of Fort Collins Parks
Department. Staff has reviewed your submittal and we offer the following
comments:
1. Section 2.2.11 of the Land Use Code requires that an applicant submit
revisions based on this letter within 90 days or the project application
becomes null and void. Your response to the City's concerns is due by June
18, 2001. A 30-day extension to this deadline is available. All requests for
an extension should be directed to the Current Planning Director. If
remaining issues are those that do not require plan revisions, a status report
verifying continuing efforts toward resolving the issues is required within
the same timeline.
2. The existing Sprint Pole was approved as a co -location of wireless equipment
because the equipment was attached to an existing light pole. If the pole is
no longer used for ball field lighting, multiple use of the pole no longer
exists, thus the co -location no longer exists. The sprint pole would have to
be removed at this point; or application for approval of a wireless (free-
standing) facility will need to be submitted.
3. If you intend to have additional carriers co -locate on the other light poles
currently being constructed, we recommend that those poles be engineered
and sized accordingly. Additional poles, above and beyond what is necessary
