Michael Chavez PFA has no comments for this project Transportation Planning 15 Issue Contact: Mark Jackson Compatability with future Mason Street Corridor plans I have no comments from a code standpoint. My concern is compatability of the placement of a very large WTE facility in a corridor designated for future development as a north -south multi -modal corridor running the lenght of Fort Collins. The Mason Street Corridor will emphasize Transit Oriented Development principles and will make the corridor proximate to the BNSF railroad tracks a strong focus of redevelopment activity. We have talked with the owner of the storage facility in which the WTE is proposed about the redevelopment potential of his land, which will be quite close to a transit stop as well as the redeveloped University Hills activity area. My fear is that an unsightly, large WTE facility may ultimately hamper redevelopment efforts along this portion of the corridor. I would respectfully request the landowner take the future value and use of the Mason Street Multimodal Corridor into account in his plans for his property. Be sure and return all of your redlined plans when you re -submit.
