He would like to meet with you on Friday, August 15th at 8 a.m. Does this work for you? Vicki Diehl Project Manager Lagunitas Companies 970-226-5000 970-226-5125 (fax) CC: Basil Hamdan; Bob Zakely; Cameron Gloss; John Stokes; Susan Joy; Tim Buchanan; Troy Jones Jones = From: Doug Moore To: Vicki Diehl Date: c8/_12/032:56PM Subject: RE: Redtail / Wetlands Hi Vicki, By wetland exhibits does Jon mean how he is plans/graphics that he will be presenting to the Planning & Zoning Board showing how Redtail is complying with the buffer standards? I do the final plans/graphics and calculations that he is planning to define his case with. Right now the outstanding issues that I thought would be discussed that Fridays meeting would be related to the last submittal which shows a large major of trees (riparian forest) being removed. Like wetlands the Land Use Code does not have a provision in its that says a forests can just be removed. This forest is mapped as a natural habitat and feature on the Natural Habitats and Features Inventory Map and is to be preserved and protected with a 50' buffer area. On site visits with Jon where we discussed possible location for access the riparian forest was pointed out with instructions that this forest is to be preserved and buffered from the development project. I did attend a meeting with Tim and Jon related to the removal of a tree adjacent to parking along Fossil Boulevard and agreed to the tree's removal and mitigation. I had a meeting earlier this afternoon with Tim Buchanan and have found that the tree mitigation plan does not relate to the utility drawings or the landscape plan. These drawing must reflect what will actually happen in the field and we need to discuss 3.4.1(E) and how it relates to the Riparian Forest. Our other outstanding issue relates to the retaining walls located within the buffer zones. This doesn't meet the requirements of section 3.4.1(1) related to design and aesthetics as it relates to natural habitats and features and to the visual character of natural habitats. I will need information from; Jon, Trish and Linda's offices on they are planning to meet this standard. I understand that Jon is currently out town. I feel that for Fridays meeting to be productive we will need to have drawings to review and discuss at the meeting.
