Re: Redtail / Wetlands
Thank you for your many meetings with me as we work to resolve wetlands matters to
your satisfaction so we can proceed to P&Z with your support.
I respectfully differ with your new interpretation of wetlands buffer which apparently in
your view requires that both the old wetlands buffer and the new wetlands buffer be
considered when computing encroachment.
I would like to ask you to please rethink your view of this in light of fundamental logic,
which I believe suggests the following:
1. A buffer from the current wetlands is relevant today.
2. Then we remove a portion of wetlands and replace it with high quality
wetlands adjacent to the ponds.
3. At this point, the wetlands having been moved, we have a new wetlands
boundary or edge. It would appear logical that the new buffer be measured
from the new wetlands edge.
4. And that buffer encroachment be measured based on this new buffer.
Again, I would very much appreciate you looking at the LUC closely and considering
what the logical interpretation is with respect to the foregoing.
Thank you.
