TO: Dave Brown, KEM - Fossil Lake LLC
City of Fort Collins
FROM: Matt Delich -0
DATE: September 24, 2002
SUBJECT: Fossil Lake Condos Transportation Impact Study - Response
to staff comments (File: 0236ME01)
to This memorandum provides
N comment item 19 under the Topic:
0) made by Tom Reiff, Transportation
CO
cD pertains to the pedestrian level
o School, specifically with regard
O^i
i response to Fort Collins staff
Transportation. This comment was
Planning Department. This comment
of service to the future 2004 High
to continuity.
ij The pedestrian level of service analysis states that actual
z level of service for continuity is not acceptable. This is because
athe street system is not complete and, therefore, the sidewalk system
is not complete. The route described and mapped to the future 2004
High School is along future Trilby Road, within the Fossil Lake
Estates development, crossing Kechter Road to Franz Drive. Franz
Drive connects to a future access to the 2004 High School.
Construction of Trilby Road is continuing as Fossil Lake Estates is
built. There will be sidewalks along this segment of Trilby Road.
When the 2004 High School is built, Franz Drive will be built. It
will have sidewalks per Fort Collins street standards. Under this
circumstance, there will be a continuous sidewalk between Fossil Lake
Condos and the 2004 High School. Therefore, the continuity aspect
of the pedestrian level of service will be acceptable.
