Subject: Cottonwood evaluation

I understand from talking with Ray Wright that you need this report on the cottonwood that I evaluated on May
5th at the North West corner of JFK and Troutman. I believe that the project may be called Title Wave.
There is a clump of 2-3 Plains Cottonwood growing near this intersection. The trees are of medium size and in
fair condition. All of the trees are cotton bearing, which I observed as they were releasing seed when they were
inspected.
It is unfortunate that they are cotton bearing because the trees do contribute nicely to the site. The Land Use
code states that if a cottonwood is cotton bearing that it is not considered significant and does not need to be
preserved , protected or mitigated. This is the case with these trees.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
