HomeMy WebLinkAboutBENNETT ROAD BUNGALOWS - PDP - 42-01 - CORRESPONDENCE - CORRESPONDENCE-NEIGHBORHOOD MEETING (3)No Text Comm,f ty Planning and Environmental rvices Current Planning City of Fort Collins October 23, 2001 Dear Resident: On Thursday, November 8, 2001 from 7:00 p.m. to approximately 9:00 p.m. at Bennett Elementary School*, 1125 Bennett Road, the City of Fort Collins Planning Department will conduct a second, follow-up neighborhood information meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. A previous meeting was held on August 22, 2001. The applicants are proposing a new single family residential project, the BENNETT ROAD BUNGALOWS, on a property on the north side of Bennett Road between South Shields Street and City Park Avenue. The site is currently a vacant field. Bennett Elementary School is directly south of this property. The proposal is for 16 single family lots and a storm drainage detention pond on 3.87 acres. A "vicinity map" identifying and locating the proposed project site is attached. The property is in the RL — Low Density Residential Zoning District. The purpose of this meeting on November 8th is to give all participants the opportunity to ask questions of the applicant and express their concerns in an informal setting.This is an information sharing meeting only and no official City decision will result from this meeting. A 'formal' development review request was made to the City on October 3, 2001 and it is in the midst of the first round of review by City staff and outside reviewing agencies. This current development request must comply with the requirements and standards as set forth in the City's Land Use Code. Representatives for the applicant may be present to discuss their proposal. City representatives will be present to respond to questions about the proposed development, City policies and regulations, and to take minutes of the meeting. The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome.
