We are writing this in response to the proposed project in our
neighborhood commonly known as Modification of Standards for the
Reider Duplex, File # 13-02.
We strongly urge you to deny the request by the applicant to
reduce the required off-street parking from 4 spaces to 1 space.
Parking conditions in our neighborhood are deplorable. Many of the
rental properties haue four or fiue students sharing 2 bedrooms and
each one has their own uehicle. Rdd to this the employees who work
for the Uniuersity that park in our neighborhood and the lack of street
parking becomes extreme. Throw in any uisitors the renters may
haue and students who park to attend classes and you haue a uery
over crowded situation. On any giuen day you can find cars parked in
non -parking areas.
Please do not make an already extremely bad parking situations
worse. Those of us who haue Hued in this neighborhood for a long
time are tired of seeing uehicles parked on lawns, across sidewalks
and in our driueways.
Do not grant this request for the reduction of the required
number of off-street parking spaces.
