Reider Modification_ From: Tim Buchanan To: Dave Stringer; Kathleen Reavis; Mark Jackson; T... Date: Wed, Mar 20, 2002 5:32 PM Subject: Re: Reider Modification Troy I went by 720 W. Myrtle to check the trees that are in questions. The two that I noticed, that I assume would be impacted, are a Siberian Elm on the West side of the House and an apple tree in the back yard. I was looking over the fence with a rather large dog on the other side so I could not get a real good look. Neither tree is in very good condition and they are medium in size. Since the plan does not show the existing trees and which ones need to be removed I can not be certain that I saw everything that will be impacted. Perhaps your and I could go over and do another inspection so that we have the correct tree resource information in make this decision. Let me know. The applicant intends to build an addition which will add a bedroom to each unit. This will trigger the requirement for 4 off-street parking spaces. The applicant could fit the parking spaces easily in the back yard, but it would require them to cut down some mature trees. The applicant wished to have one off-street parking space and have diagional parking that currently exists on the street absorb the remaining parking demand. Eric Bracke has reviewed it and has no problem with the modification request. This project isn't going to staff review until 3/27, but it seems like it might fall into the "quick glance" category, and we could maybe just crank this one out. Can you glance over this modification application and tell me if you think you need the schuduled review time. If not, can you let me know what (if any) issues your department would have at granting the modification. This was a limited routing. Forestry, Engineering, and Transportation Planning are the only departments I'm still waiting on comments from. Thanks, Troy Jones, City Planner Fort Collins Current Planning Department
