The purpose of this letter is to notify you of two public meetings for a proposed rezoning
in your neighborhood. The rezoning request is for the properties located at 1004 and 1008
East Elizabeth Street.
The first meeting is a Neighborhood Information Meeting. This meeting will be held on
Tuesday, March 12, 2002, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Laurel Elementary School, 1000 East
Locust Street. This will be an informal meeting with the applicant and City of Fort Collins
to discuss the aspects of the rezoning and answer questions relating to the rezoning
request.
The second meeting is a City of Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board Meeting*. This
meeting will be held on Thursday, March 21, 2002 at 6:30 p.m. in the Council Chambers,
City Hall West, 300 Laporte Avenue. This is a formal hearing to consider the rezoning
request and make a recommendation to the City Council for the East Elizabeth Street
Rezoning, File #2-02.
This is a request to rezone two properties totalling.77 acres. The current zoning is NCL —
Neighborhood Conservation Low Density District and the proposed zoning is NCB —
Neighborhood Conservation Buffer District. The properties are located along the north side
of Elizabeth Street, west of Lemay Avenue.
The list of affected property owners for this public information meeting is derived from
official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home
occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property
owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of these pending
meetings so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend
these meetings, written comments are welcome.
If you have any questions regarding this matter, please call our office at 970-221-6750.
Sin erely:
Bob Barkeen
