Since we will be unable to attend the hearing on October 1, 1 am writing to tell you of my concerns. As we enjoyed the quiet of our yard on Saturday afternoon, we felt sad to think that the tranquility is threatened by the possibility of this tire business being built to so close to these residences. We would, of course, prefer to see nothing built on that lot but realize that some commercial enterprise will be there at some time. It would seem to be much more appropriate to have a business with less of a traffic and noise impact and one that better corresponds to the schedules of the nearby residents. Another concern we have with a business that has heavier usage is the increase in traffic at the intersection of Fossil Creek Parkway and College Avenue. Those of us who deal with this intersection every day know that it is very hard to get on and off the parkway. With the speed limit of 55 miles per hour on College through that intersection, making both right and left turns can be very dangerous. Putting in a business such as the tire store will negatively impact the problems at that intersection. We appreciate the considerable amount of time and thought you have given to this project. We also appreciate having the opportunity to give input and hope you will consider our concerns and those of other neighbors as you make your decision. Sincerely, Mary nn Seymour
