It appears that New Beginnings, the original occupier of the building (and also a
residential rehab) had sleeping quarters for approximately sixty six rehab clients. possibly
more. All of the original bathrooms which adjoined the bedrooms are still present and in
operational condition although many of the bedrooms have been used for classroom
instruction since the most recent tenant took occupancy in 1997. Thus our intention is to
return the facility to its original occupancy. Roughly, the client -to -staff ratio in a rehab is
approximately two to one, therefore. at full capacity we would expect that our facility
would employ approximately thirty three staff.
In terms of parking, the facility has approximately one hundred spaces. Visitor
parking use is less than six spaces on any given day. The maximum estimated staff
parking requirement is thirty three spaces. Client residents are not permitted to bring a
car to the facility. In summary, with a maximum need of thirty nine parking spaces,
current parking is ample.

classified into three parts:
l) Detox/withdrawal
2) Life Skills Courses
3) Oise-oo-o»e eouiiselioo

a medically assisted withdrawal. Clients requiting a medically assisted
withdrawal. will be referred to an appropriate facility.
• Life skills courses: The absence of life skills are usually what initiate the addict
into what becomes the vicious cycle of addiction. By helping the recovering
addict to understand those aspects of life which originally got him into trouble
one can begin to reverse the cycle of addiction.

counseling is provided by trained and certified counselors to evaluate the client's
life cit latinna and help the rlieni Hiccert anal resolve tbnsP areas that are
perpetuating his difficulties.
Facility Requirements
Our program is residentially based and therefore requires addicts to remain at the
facility (voluntary, unrestrained admittance and participation only). Upon admittance the
client undergoes a medical evaluation by a licensed physician. At this point, if the client
is medically stable he/she is admitted to the program. If the client is not medically fit to
undergo a m. edically unsupported withdrawal they .will be referred to an appropriate
facility.
As the facility is residential it has 24/7 staffing with a greater weighting of staff
on premises during the day.
In accordance with the program, the facility needs the following primary spaces:
1) Sleeping quarters for clients
2) Dining Room and Kitchen
