BOX 3600 AVON, CO 81620 Staff has reviewed your submittal for CINGULAR WIRELESS - CALVARY BAPTIST WTF, 2420 LAPORTE AVENUE, and we offer the following comments: ISSUES: Department: Current Planning Issue Contact: Anne Aspen Topic: General Number: 10 Created: 11/14/2005 [11/14/05] This proposal does not meet our requirements as set forth in Section 3.8.13 [C]2. The property is zoned LMN which, according to Section 4.4 (A) is a zone district that is intended for a predominance of low density housing combined with supporting land uses that are developed and operated in harmony with the residential characteristics of a neighborhood. While wireless technology equipment is allowed in the LMN, it must be in keeping with the residential characteristics— and a 2 1/2-foot diameter, 60-foot flag pole with uplighting is not in keeping with the existing residential and rural character of this area or the planned residential development that is proposed to abut this property. Truly stealth technology would be to locate the equipment within an existing or proposed structure such as a steeple or to colocate on top of an existing non-residential building.
