Dear Mr. Barkeen:
My wife and I just received the enclosed notice, and will not be able to
attend the meeting on September 19. However, we do wish to communicate our
opposition to any reduction of parking spaces for planned development in the
area.
We own five condominium units in the immediate vicinity of this proposed
project and are very aware of the heavy demand and competition for the existing
parking spaces in this area. If anything, more than the normally required number
are needed, but certainly not less.
The inevitable result of reducing this project's parking spaces will be to
push those parked cars onto our already overburdened spaces. In effect, our
parking residents will be pushed out the back door.
Additionally, the on street parking in this area is already overburdened.
Thank you in advance for considering our objections, and we hope and
trust that your department will recommend that this request be denied.
