The first project is referred to as the New South C.S.U. Dormitory. The second project is referred to as the Relocated C.S.U. Challenge Ropes Course. The New South C.S.U. Dormitory would be processed as a Site Plan Advisory Review for advisory consideration by the City of Fort Collins Planning and Zoning Board. The dorm would house 700 students in 175 two -room suites each suite having the capacity of four persons. The building would be a combination of three and four stories in height. There would be parking for about 200 cars. There would be no food services. The site is 4.7 acres located on the south side of West Pitkin Street just south of Edwards Hall on the property that is presently the C.S.U. Challenge Ropes Course. The C.S.U. Challenge Ropes Course would, in turn, be relocated to a parcel located within the Centre For Advanced Technology just south of the Married Student Housing on the west side of Centre Avenue. The highest structure is 53 feet above ground, the next is 35 feet high and all others are 15 feet high. The conifers immediately west of the site and the gardens will remain. This project is considered a private development under the full authority of the City's Land Use Code. The project manager for these two proposals is Mr. Greg Smith, C.S.U. Facilities Department, who will be on hand to discuss the details in depth. Since this letter is mailed to property owners only, please feel free to notify your neighbors who may be renting. I am looking forward to seeing all of you at the meeting where I will be introducing a new City Planner, Bob Barkeen, who will be the City's project planner for these two items.
