My name is Rosita Bachmann and I am the owner of a property located at 300 Smith Street in
Fort Collins.
In 2005 I was approved for a plat for my property and intended construction of three new units at
300 Smith Street shortly after. Sadly enough the economy changed for the worst in the latter part
of 2005 and the project was put on hold.
Last year I asked the City for a one year extension in building the project due to the depressed
economy. This year 1 need to do the same for the same reason.
1 understood by my assigned city planner, Mr. Steve Olt, that a request of this nature is possible
under the City of Fort Collins regulations.
Please advise me of your decision.

Subject: 300 Smith Street, Old Town Commons - Final Plan Approval
Dear Ms. Bachmann,
The City of Fort Collins has reviewed and approved your request dated
September 29, 2009 for a one-year extension to the 300 Smith Street, Old Town
Commons, Final Plan - #39-03B, originally approved on October 5, 2005. Based
on this extension, all engineering improvements in accordance with your
approved utility plans must be completed no later than October 5, 2010.
Pursuant to Section 2.2.11(D)(4) of the Land Use Code, the Director is
authorized to grant two (2) successive one-year extensions. This is your second
one-year extension request, with the first being approved by the Director on
September 12, 2008. Any additional one-year extensions may be approved only
by the Planning and Zoning Board.
