Mr. Basile,
The Farmstead PDP is a residential project containing a total of 19 dwelling units on 2.2 acres at the
southwest corner of North Taft Hill Road and LaPorte Avenue. There will be one single-family residence
on a lot along North Taft Hill Road and the remaining 18 dwelling units will be 4 buildings to be accessed
from an extension of Pennsylvania Street. This street will run north to south from LaPorte Avenue, with a
bridge crossing over the New Mercer Canal.
The project has been through the City's extensive development review process, with the most recent
action being a public hearing in front of an Administrative Hearing Officer on June 28, 2004. Only 2 people
spoke to the hearing officer during public input at this meeting. The hearing officer has issued a Findings,
Conclusions, and Decision document dated July 12, 2004, approving the project.
I checked the notification letter (dated June 11, 2004) for the June 28th public hearing and noted that you
were on the mailing list as Stephen Basile, 43 South Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins, CO. 80521. Therefore,
you should have received a letter of notification of the public hearing.
I would be avbailable to meet with you at any time to go over the development plan set. As a
"party -in -interest" (by virture of your location and being sent a letter of notification) you do have a right of
appeal of the Administrative Hearing Officer's decision to City Council. There is a 14 calendar day appeal
period after the date of the decision (in this case, July 12, 2004). The appeal period for this project will end
at 5:00 p.m. on Monday, July 26, 2004. Any appeal of a decision must be filed at the City Clerk's office,
300 LaPorte Avenue.

Can you please tell me where to find information about the administrative hearing that was held June 28th.
lVve been all over the cityVs website and have found nothing. I own an adjacent property and am
concerned about this development. I would like to find out what was discussed and the decision that the
HEaring Officer has made - Thanks -Steve Basile
