HomeMy WebLinkAbout637 COWAN STREET - PDP - 21-03 - CORRESPONDENCE - CORRESPONDENCE-NEIGHBORHOOD MEETINGNo Text Commi- Ay Planning and Environmentai --rvices Current Planning City of Fort Collins September 5, 2003 Dear Resident: On Tuesday, September 23, 2003 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Peak Community Church, located at 500 Mathews (southeast corner of Matthews and Mulberry), the City of Fort Collins Current Planning Department will conduct a neighborhood information meeting to discuss a development proposal in your neighborhood. The development proposal is located at 637 Cowan Street. The applicant is proposing to build a new three -unit residential building on a vacant portion of the 10,990 square foot lot, and retain the existing house. Off street -parking is proposed to accommodate the projects parking demands. What can you expect from attending the neighborhood meeting? The purpose of a neighborhood meeting is to open a line of communication between the applicant and the neighbors. This is the forum through which the neighbors can express their concerns, city staff can explain the development review process, and the applicant can explain to the neighbors what they are intending to do with the project and answer questions from the neighbors. Meeting notes are taken by city staff, and become part of the project file. Neighborhood meetings are typically scheduled early in the project, before any design decisions have been finalized so the flexibility still exists for the input of neighbors to perhaps be integrated into the project. The list of affected property owners for this neighborhood information meeting is derived from official records of the Larimer County Assessor. Because of the lag time between home occupancy and record keeping, or because of rental situations, a few affected property owners may have been missed. Please feel free to notify your neighbor of this pending meeting so all neighbors may have the opportunity to attend. If you are unable to attend this meeting, written comments are welcome.
