DENVER, CO 80216 Staff has reviewed your submittal for WIRELESS TELECOMMUNICATION EQUIPMENT - T-MOBILE UPRR/PRPA CO -LOCATE -TYPE I (LUC), and we offer the following comments: ISSUES: Department: Current Planning Issue Contact: Troy Jones Topic: General Number: 9 Created: 8/22/2003 I've included some site shots of other wireless telecommunication antennoes from around town. Please see the attached 19-page bundle of redlined photos. The West Drake Rood example Is very similar to what you propose. We've learned our lesson on this antennae, and have refined the code language since the time of its approval. In the West Drake Road example, the antennae mounting frame Is entirely too big and very obtrusive. It is also located in a high visibility corridor (visible for a great distance along the line of sight of a major street). The East Drake Road example Is also similar to what you propose. It's antennae mounting bracket is much smaller than the West Drake Road example, and is much less noticobie. The cables in both Drake Road examples ore in view of the high visibility sides of the pole. IIve included several good examples of co -locates from around town In the photos. Number: 10 Created: 8/22/2003 The design you proposed for the antennae array Itself Is not appropriate on the pole you propose because of its high visibility. An array such as the one you propose would be acceptable on the next pole to the south. The only appropriate antennae array for this pole, given Its high visibility, Is an antennae array that appears to be on extension of the pole itself, or is camofloged in some other way. (LUC - 3.8.13(C)(2) & (15) & 3.5.1(J)(2)) Number: 11 Created: 8/22/2003 The cables need to be mounted on the pole facing south, away from the highest visibility sides of the pole. (3.5.1(JX2)) Number: 12 Created: 8/22/2003 Change the fencing material of the equipment enclosure to an opaque material such as wood, stone, or stucco. Chain link is not allowed. (LUC 3.8.13(C)(5)) Number: 13 Created: 8/22/2003 You have proposed no landscaping. Landscaping Is required to achieve a total screening effect of the base equipment. Any meters viewable from the exterior of the equipment enclosure must be screened from view of Harmony Rood. Landacaping shall be equiped with automatic Irrigation systems meeting the water conservation standards of the City.
