Craig, I'm sure you've seen the site plan and the trail/park system for the project ... do you remember the
discussions we had during the NWSP process regarding the Soldier Ck trail/nat. area/drainage network?
Apparently, the trail and park shown on the south part of the project connection may not be doable in its
current configuration due to the need for a large drainage ditch to channel the flows from the south. But I
hope that we are able to still get a trail from Laporte thru to the channel to the north. I think this trail
connection is critical and there is an issue with the need for the developer to provide park
space... hopefully there would be way to work it in in a future drainage design.
Wes Lamarque from SW was going to set up a meeting with the developer ... I though that you should be
involved in this meeting (I probably wouldn't be)?
