Commui..ay Planning and Environmental _rvices Current Planning City of Fort Collins PROJECT: DATE: APPLICANTS: NEIGHBORHOOD INFORMATION MEETING Johnson Cultural Center (1024 West Mulberry Street) March 26, 2002 Margaret and Don Webber (the property owners) CITY PLANNER: Steve Olt, Current Planningto The property owners/applicants are proposing a cultural center for young people and students. The capacity for this facility would be approximately 100 people at any one time. It will be a tax-free foundation set up as a memorial to a family member. The property is located at the northeast corner of West Mulberry Street and Wayne Street. The vehicular access for the property is from Wayne Street. It is in the NCL - Neighborhood Conservation, Low Density Zoning District. ................. QUESTIONS, CONCERNS, COMMENTS, RESPONSES ................. 1. Question: What provisions are being made for parking on the property for the proposed use? Answer: That is still an issue to resolve. The rooms in the existing building are not large; therefore, there will be a limit as to how many people can be in the building at one time. The owners (Webber's) will control meetings in the facility. 2. Comment: I live 2 houses down from this property and am concerned about the potential for overflow parking into the neighborhood. 3. Comment I trust that you (the Webber's) will filter the groups that you allow to use the facility. Response: Yes, we will. That certainly is a concern of ours, as well. 4. Comment: We now get a fair amount of "pass -through" traffic in the neighborhood. We have a concern about this facility adding to the traffic situation. 281 North College Avenue • P.O.
